For 8 minutes and 46 seconds, the unbearable weight of systemic oppression pressed down onto one man's neck. And it continues to press down on many more like him.

George Floyd's death has forced us once again to confront persistent injustices. It has rightly forced us all to again look inwards, to examine our individual and collective roles in the fight for equality.

The research we enable is only possible due to the diversity of the Prolific family made up of our incredible participants, researchers and team members. Because diversity and inclusion are baked into our company DNA, we cannot stand by in silent complicity.

But, just paying lip service is not enough. We must show this through our actions. So, for the next 14 days, we will be matching donations from our community of $10 or more, up to a combined total of $1000, to the following organisations

  1. Campaign Zero – A comprehensive platform of research-based policy solutions to end police brutality in America.
  2. Stand Up to Racism – A UK-based charity dedicated to fighting racism in all its forms.

We will also be matching donations from our team members. And if the donations don't get to $1000, we'll make up the difference

Donate now, and share a screenshot of your donation in the comments so we can match it!

This is just the beginning, we will continue working on other ways we can contribute to the fight for justice.

To our black participants, researchers, and stakeholders: We stand with you in solidarity and love.

Your lives matter.

Black Lives Matter.

Update - 15/06/2020

Last week we asked you to stand in solidarity with the #BlackLivesMatter movement and donate to anti-racism organisations, which we would match up to a combined total of $1,000.

In just one week, the Prolific community has raised over $6,000!

That means our matched donations cap has been absolutely smashed, but keep donating! These organisations are doing such important work, and they need your support now more than ever.
